As the twelfth series of Red Dwarf goes out we continue to pore over the ratings as they go out on Dave. Siliconia near enough matched last week’s rating with 698,000 people watching, just 3,000 short of Cured.
The ratings on UKTV Play for the first week are also in. 12,410 watched Cured in the first 4 days it was available. While this is 8,000 viewers down on last year when Twentica launched on the service, Series XI enjoyed a far bigger and prolonged promotion campaign pushing the UKTV Play platform.
If the ratings continue to hold in this range we could see this series rate better on average across the six weeks than Series XI. A great achievement for a show approaching the 30th year in existence.
