With a busy summer we’ve had an extended break from news roundups, but now we’re back with the latest news and a catchup on some bit’s we’ve missed.
- Geek Week
Robert Llewellyn is back in the rubber mask as host of YouTube’s Geek Week and each day he’ll be picking out some video highlights from a different geeky genre for your pleasure. It’s always a joy to see some new Red Dwarf material and there’s something oddly exciting about seeing the wire model of Starbug spinning on the monitor display.

- Pointless Celebrities
You may have seen us mention some time ago that Craig and Danny took part in a Comic Relief special of Pointless Celebrities earlier in the year. Well we now have an air date for the episode; Saturday 17th August at 5:45 PM.
The show sees contestants compete to gain as few points as possible with more obscure answers. The winners will see price money being donated to charity. This celebrity edition also featured Su Pollard & Jefferey Holland (Hi-Di-Hi), Jean Boht & Nick Conway (Bread) and Brendan O-Carroll & Jennifer Gibney (Mrs Brown’s Boys).
- Dwarfcasts: Holoship
Ganymede & Titan have uploaded a new edition of their Dwarfcast episode commentaries, this time covering Holoship from Series V. Tanya, John, Ian, Danny and Jonathan, along with the fan club’s Jo Sharples and Jezz Harrison look over the episode and afterwards there is also a bonus commentary on the episode’s deleted scenes.
You can find it here or you can subscribe via iTunes.
- The Red Dwarf Introcast
Since our last roundup there have been a whole host of new episodes from The Red Dwarf Introcast. Reviews for Duct Soup, Blue, Beyond a Joke and Epideme can all be found, along with a special live commentary for Nanarchy.
So just what will Heath and Angela make of it? Will they hate it? Or will they go against the general consensus? You’ll have to listen to find out.
The episodes are available to download and you can find them on the podcast’s website and is also available on iTunes.
