Series X News – Entangled Overnight and Fathers and Suns Consolidated Ratings

Entangled Overnight Rating

The overnight ratings are in for Episode 4 of the new series. ‘Entangled’ was viewed by 1.002m people across Dave and Dave Ja Vu in its initial airing. This is down around 200k on last week. Not including Dave Ja Vu it clocks in as Dave’s seventh highest overnight rating behind 5 new episodes of Red Dwarf (‘Back to Earth’ Episode 1 and 3, ‘Trojan’, ‘Fathers and Suns’ and ‘Lemons’) and a repeat of ‘Gunmen of the Apocalypse’ which followed ‘Back to Earth’ Episode 1 originally airing.

At the same time competition was higher than last week.

BBC One drama Hunted was slightly down from last week from 3.44m to 3.22m.

ITV1 drama Homefront clocked in yet another poor primetime rating for ITV with just 2.1m at the 9pm hour, even further down on last week.

BBC Two had a strong performance with their documentary series The Choir. It recorded 2.92m viewers in the 9pm hour, up slightly on last week.

Biggest competition was from the Europa League on ITV4. Over 2 million Liverpool fans elected to watch something much rarer than a new episode of Red Dwarf, a Stewart Downing goal, as Liverpool beat Anzhi Makhachkala. The Europa League powered ITV4 to its highest ever share of audience in the channel’s history.

Russell Howard’s Good News was down 0.72m viewers in the 9pm hour, damaged by a head to head airing with Red Dwarf and the Europa League.
